Tanveer Hossain Probal is the creator of Pother Pyachali, one of Bangladesh's early celebrated street shows. Taking entertainment out of the studio and into the streets, he pioneered a format that connected directly with everyday people — an innovation that shaped his lifelong instinct for audience-first storytelling.

Television & Reality Shows

He played a major role in some of Bangladesh's most loved reality formats — Marks Allrounder, Khude Gaanraaj, Lux Anandadhara Photogenic, and Lux Channel i Superstar — programs that discovered generations of new talent and defined reality television in the country.

His fiction and drama credits include Swamapty / The Closure, Hotath Dekha, Fera, and Mridha Banam Mridha.

Pioneer in Advertising Agency

One of the pioneers of advertising agency-based production in Bangladesh, Tanveer Hossain Probal made numerous TVCs in 35mm and digital format for international and local brands including Lux, Close Up, Telenor, Citycell, City Group, Abul Khair Group, and PRAN-RFL Group products.

Film, Fiction & Creative Direction

Across film and fiction, his creative direction is marked by cinematic craft, emotional honesty, and editorial restraint — from intimate telefilms to large-format productions, always in service of the story.

Leadership in Digital Content

As former Head of Content at Banglalink's Toffee, he led content strategy for one of Bangladesh's largest OTT platforms. In 2022, he played a key role in bringing the FIFA World Cup exclusive rights to Bangladesh through the Toffee OTT platform — a landmark moment for digital entertainment in the country.

Social Communication & NGO Projects

He worked with BCCP and Johns Hopkins University on the Adolescence Reproductive Health Project 'Nijeke Jano' — using entertainment and communication craft to move society forward on vital public health issues.

Cinema Exhibition & Cultural Revival

He founded Tangail's first world-class uniplex cinema hall, The New Raushan Talkies, at the Coronation Dramatic Club on Victoria Road — reviving the culture of cinema-going for a new generation with a modern, family-friendly, premium movie experience.
